The Team

Carriage House Farms is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of John Aller and Kelly Koley.  John and Kelly met in New York City in 2006.  It was an instant connection that inevitably led to marriage several years later.  After living and working in New York City for decades they decided to throw caution to the wind, give up the big city life, and move back to the peace and tranquility of the Heartland.

 

Kelly, born in Indiana to Air Force parents, spent her childhood travelling and living in several different countries, finally returning to "The States" at the beginning of the high school years.  Kelly’s love of horses started at an early age when she began riding in Germany where her family was stationed. Years later, after returning to America, her love of horses continued until she was pulled away by life and a career. Working in the corporate law field for many years, during which time she planned and assisted with many client and corporate events, Kelly was ready to leave the hustle and bustle behind and get back to nature and the country life. As an avid hiker, outdoor enthusiast and animal lover, Carriage House Farms is the place where her creativity thrives.

 

John was born in St. Louis but raised most of his childhood years in rural northwest Missouri. His father was a former Lincoln-Mercury executive who, along with being a prior employee, was a life-long enthusiast, collector and expert on all things Packard, and his mother was a stay-at-home mom until the high school years, when she returned to the workforce as the secretary to the Dean of Students at William Jewell College.  Many years later, John, a country boy at heart, was happy to finally leave city life and come home to Missouri after having had a successful career in the medical software IT industry, where he was responsible for overseeing essential computer systems in one of New York City’s world-renowned hospitals.  His many creative interests include music, cooking, wine, and working outside in “clean dirt” growing beautiful things. 

 

John and Kelly’s combined passions and interests made the opening and operation of Carriage House Farms a natural and seamless fit.
